Nestled on the Sunshine Coast in beautiful British Columbia I live with my wonderful husband surrounded by cedar trees that sway in the wind and a picturesque ocean view. Our life style stimulates our imagination and allows us to live in a serene environment within a community of talented people to enhance the artist in us.

I am a self taught mixed media artists with a passion for book arts. Making, altering and recycling books. Having spent years learning a wide variety of crafts, I have branched out to train with a long succession of notable alternative art teachers. Sharing my knowledge and excitement with others is what fuels my creative muse.

Art Escape Studio is a newly built 600 sq. ft. room designed with wonderful natural light and additional artificial lighting to bring it to the standards of any art class room. The colours are warm and inspiring and beg you to come and “create a while” in comfort. Each work station has the supplies needed to do paper arts and allow you space to create without limits.

Art Escape Studio is a workshop and instruction based art studio for paper arts and mixed media. Workshops have included every facit of paper arts: making, altering, painting, pasting, stamping, folding, sculpting, cutting, printing, collaging and montaging. I specialize in building non-traditional books. Most recently classes in soldering, felting, fabric and calligraphy have been offered.

Part of my vision for my studio is to offer what ‘you’ want. Weekend retreats, visiting instructors and workshops created specifically for you and your friends allows me to be flexible and offer you what you want.
